OUR CHURCHES

The Boucan Church came under our leadership in 2018 and is located 2-1/2 hours from the main road up in the mountains. The congregation had been meeting in a stick structure with tarps with 25 people in attendance. In February 2019, a new church building was built. Many men from the community helped with this project, along side of a team of six men from the states, including an electrician, who wired the church for electricity so they could hold services at night. Since February 2019, the congregation has grown to 125. The pastor of the church is Pastor René Pesnick.

Much progress has been made on the church at Leger in spite of challenges with gas and supply shortages.  Didi continues to amaze us with his patience and creativity in moving the project forward.

We were able to lay the foundation and put up the walls of the new church building, but currently there are no materials available to finish the roof.

The church at Ponce was our first church planted in Haiti. Numerous work teams from Quarryville and the surrounding communities worked side by side with our Haitian brothers to complete it in less than a year from concept to opening. Pastor Elie Gilles Pierre was hired to lead our congregation and the first service was held on August 24, 2014. The attendance at this church is around 140.

Community Well Conversion Project

 We established a community well at our Ponce church location during the construction project many years ago.  The well was used heavily by the surrounding community to provide fresh water to families.  Recently, the hand pump broke and we were unsuccessful at locating parts to repair.  However, we were able to successfully convert to a solar well pump with storage tank and our church community is really happy to have a nearby fresh water source again.

Came under our leadership in 2015 and a new building was built for them in 2016. There location is 20 minutes from Arcahaie. They previously worshipped in a braided fig leave structure, which also housed their school. Their attendance is around 120 and seems to be growing. Lead by Pastor Supreme Elius.

Was planted in 2016 and Wesley Church in Quarryville, PA supplied the funding for the church building which was built in February 2016. This is a new church plant and attendance has been strong at over 100 worshippers. The new building is 10 minutes from Arcahaie. Lead by Pastor Nerrissau Rodrigue.

Came under our leadership in 2016 and they were meeting in a stick frame with no covering against the elements. There are 65 people worshipping at this church.  In 2017 Providence Church, New Providence, PA provided the funding to build them a wood and metal siding building. They are located 3-1/2 hours from the Town of Arcahaie in the mountains on a path that is only accessible by foot, donkey, motorcycle or UTV. There are 65 people worshipping at this church. Lead by Pastor Rene Jean Felix.

Is located 1-1/2 hours from Arcahaie in the mountains. This church came under our leadership in 2017 and the members were worshipping out of a stick frame with a torn tarp covering. A church building out of wood and metal siding was built for them in February 2018. Providence Church, New Providence, PA, provided the funding for this project and the day after it was built, 70 people came to worship. Lead by Pastor Samuel Blanc.
